The 8th Biot Conference on Poromechanics (BIOT-8) will be held on October 7–10, 2025, at the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law in Salt Lake City, Utah. Hosted by Associate Professors Pania Newell, Gennady Gor, and Sanghyun Lee, co-organized by the Engineering Mechanics Institute at the American Society of Civil Engineers.
BIOT-8 is the premiere international conference for experts in the mechanics of porous solids. BIOT-8 will emphasize applications of poromechanics to new and emerging fields, in addition to the traditional areas of poromechanics.
